Managing Survey Data Change Permissions
Data changes are allowed by default. If you want choose to turn off a site’s ability to change data, you can choose to turn it back on at a later date.
Turning Off Survey Data Changes for Sites
- In Studio, access the Study Settings **tab for the study and select **Data Changes.
- Select the Edit button () in the Survey Data Changes section.
- To prevent participant survey changes, in the ePRO section, turn off Allow Site Users to Change Data in Surveys.
- To prevent clinician survey data changes, in the eClinRO section, turn off Allow Site Users to Change Data in Surveys.
- Select Save Changes.
Turning On Survey Data Changes for Sites
- In Studio, access the Study Settings **tab for the study and select **Data Changes.
- Select the Edit button () in the Survey Data Changes section.
- To allow participant survey changes, in the ePRO section, turn on Allow Site Users to Change Data in Survey.
- If you only want to allow participant survey data changes to be allowed for a specific amount of time after submission, turn on Default Data Change Submission Window and enter the number of days after submission that you want the edits to be allowed for.
- Complete Steps 4 and 5 in the eClinRO section if you want to allow clinician survey data changes.
- Select Save Changes.
Completing Data Changes
If you notice or are informed of an error with survey data entered by a study participant or site staff, contact the site. The site can update survey answers, participant ID associations , and event datetimes in eCOA.
Note: If the site is unable to perform the data change, they can submit a data change request. Only site administrators or site staff can submit data change requests. Requests submitted by sponsor staff will not be processed.
