# Limiting Survey Response Access for Site Users

You can add a permission requirement to limit which site users can respond to specific eClinRO surveys. Any updates made to access permissions are sent to Vault when a major collection version is approved.

## Adding a Permission

1. When configuring the survey, select the **Limit Access** toggle.
2. Select the **Required Permission** list and select **Add and Manage Permissions**.
3. Select **Create Permission**.
4. Add a label and select **Save**.
5. Select the saved permission from the Required Permission list.

After a permission is added and the collection version is approved, you can add the permission to a site user’s record. See Managing Site Users for more information.

## Editing a Permission

1. When configuring the survey, select the **Limit Access** toggle.
2. Select the **Required Permission** dropdown and select **Add and Manage Permissions**.
3. Select **Edit** next to the permission you want to edit.
4. Change the label, and select **Save**.

## Deleting a Permission

**Note**: You cannot delete an access permission that is in use on a survey.

1. When configuring the survey, select the **Limit Access** toggle.
2. Select the **Required Permission** dropdown and select **Add and Manage Permissions**.
3. Select **Delete**.
