In-Person Access allows respondents to complete surveys at a study site without logging into a MyVeeva for Patients account. If captured by the site, the respondent will confirm their year of birth to access the surveys.

Understanding and Viewing In-Person Survey Access Levels

This setting can be controlled at the following levels:

  • Study (Studio setting)
  • Country (Vault setting)
  • Site (Vault setting)

The top-level setting is in Studio, which enables In-Person Access for all sites. When disabled at the country- or site-level in Vault, the setting overrides the study-level setting. If this setting is disabled at any level that affects a site, sites do not have acecss to the Start In Person button in Veeva eCOA.

By default, In-Person Access is enabled at the study, country, and site levels.

A site’s access to In-Person Access varies based on enablement settings. See the table below for more information.

Study-Level Setting Country-Level Setting Site-Level Setting Is In-Person Access Available?
On Inherit Inherit Yes, site staff at all sites in the study can access the Start In Person button.
On Inherit Off No, site staff at this specific site cannot access the Start In Person button.
On Off Inherit No, site staff in all sites in this country cannot access the Start In Person button at sites within that country.
Off Inherit Inherit No, site staff in this country cannot access the Start In Person button at any site in the country.
