In-Person Access allows respondents to complete surveys at a study site without logging into a MyVeeva for Patients account. If captured by the site, the respondent will confirm their date of birth to access the surveys.
Important: When In-Person Access is disabled, respondents can still answer surveys at study sites, but they must log in to their MyVeeva for Patients account on a device or through the web.
Understanding and Viewing In-Person Survey Access Levels
This setting can be controlled at the following levels:
- Study (Studio setting)
- Country (Vault setting)
- Site (Vault setting)
The top-level setting is in Studio, which enables In-Person Access for all sites. When disabled at the country- or site-level, the setting overrides the study-level setting. If this setting is disabled at any level that affects a site, the Start In Person button is not displayed as an option for the sites.
By default, In-Person Access is enabled at the study, country, and site levels.
A site’s access to In-Person Access varies based on enablement settings. See the table below for more information.
Study-Level Setting | Country-Level Setting | Site-Level Setting | Is In-Person Access Available? |
On | Inherit | Inherit | Yes, site staff at all sites in the study can access the Start In Person button. |
On | Inherit | Off | No, site staff at this specific site cannot access the Start In Person button. |
